You can brew our delicious coffee at home. We will show you in our step-by-step guide with the Hario V60. This cone-shape dripper is easy to use while able to add depth and flavour to coffee extraction.
- Hario V60 Coffee Dripper
- V60 style Coffee Filter Paper
- Electric/Hand Grinder
- Digital Scale (prefer to have Timer function)
- Coffee Kettle
- Coffee Beans
|Roast Level||Ratio||Water Temp||Grind Size|
|Light Roast||1:15 - 1:16||90'C - 93'C||Fine - Medium|
|Medium Roast||1:13 - 1:14||93'C - 94'C||Medium|
|Dark Roast||1:8 - 1:10||95'C - 96'C||Coarse|
Rinse the V60 Dripper and Filter Paper by hot water. This step is to minimise heat-loss and odour during the pouring process.
Use scale to measure the coffee beans. We recommend to start from 18 grams of coffee for 1-2 people serving.
Grind the measured beans into the grinder. Grind size depending on the roast level.
Add ground coffee on the V60 and put it on a coffee server. Tare your scale.
Step 5: (We use medium roast as reference)
Start the timer and pour approximately 30 grams of hot water over the coffee ground. Make sure all coffee beans has been saturated. This helps to get better coffee extractions. You will notice more water needed for darker roast coffee. Put this in mind and adjust your recipe on your next brew. Move to the next step after 20 seconds
Add more hot water until you reached 100 grams. When the timer reaches 50 seconds, move to the next step.
Pour hot water until the scale reads 160 grams. Wait for 30 seconds until the timer reaches 1 minutes 20 seconds.
Pour hot water until the scale reads 220 grams. Wait for 30 seconds until the timer reaches 1 minutes 50 seconds
Pour hot water until the scale reads 270 grams. Remove the dripper after all coffee has been filtered into the server. Now you can enjoy your coffee!
