Diego Bermudez is a multi-award-winning Colombian coffee grower who has rigorously selected and processed a small lot of 200kg of his best cherries using his unique fermenting and experimental anaerobic washing methods.
El Paraiso is in the Colombian department of Cauca. It is distinguished by its climate, which is humid with a high incidence of Pacific winds, which contributes to the steady growth of high-quality coffee cherries.
The coffee farming business has adopted Diego as he mentioned. Diego's family did not grow coffee, but he was captivated by his friends' farm from a young age. Diego persuaded his family to allow him plant coffee trees on a tiny part of their land while studying Agri-Business Management (2,5 hectare plot).
This is how he began his career in the coffee industry: By cultivating his trees and selling his cherries to local cooperatives, which enabled him to pay for his studies.
In 2021, after graduating, Diego and his family financed Indestec, which presently possess and operative five Fincas over Cauca and develop trees over 70 hectares. Their objective was to create and advance a competitive and economical horticulture through the improvement of innovation solutions.
